Electronic medical records have accelerated the discovery of treatments and potential cures through unprecedented access to clinical data. However, despite AI’s rapid advances, health inequities remain unchanged. Novel approaches must be considered to ensure that technological innovation in medicine breaks, rather than perpetuates, historical disparities in access and outcomes.
